RSNA Hosted Webinar on Gender Penalty During COVID-19

Topics included professional and personal service burdens during the pandemic

RSNA hosted a 60-minute webinar on gender disadvantages for female radiologists during the COVID-19 pandemic, entitled, “Is There a Gender Penalty for Women Professionals During COVID-19?

The webinar discussed the challenges female radiologists face during the COVID-19 crisis, such as the disproportionate service burden—both professionally and in the home—as well as burnout, presumably in part due to potential gender imbalances of service demands and sense of value and belonging in the professional arena.
