With the goal of cultivating global partnerships and improving health equity, access, safety and patient care in Africa, RSNA is pleased to introduce the Across Africa: Advancing Cancer Imaging program.
Program overview
The Across Africa: Advancing Cancer Imaging program convenes thought leaders through two events that will take place in 2026:
- Cape Town, South Africa
- Sept. 4–5, 2026 — Course registration is open!
- Chicago (half-day program during the RSNA 2026 annual meeting)
- RSNA 2026 takes place Nov. 29–Dec. 3, 2026 — Course open to all annual meeting registrants.
These interactive sessions will focus on issues of health care access and equity throughout Africa, with a goal of discussing the major challenges in each area and finding sustainable solutions. Sessions will provide continent‑specific clinical training, shared strategies for delivering cancer services in resource‑limited settings, and practical guidance from global experts to strengthen daily practice, expand services and support career growth.

Course format
The Across Africa: Advancing Cancer Imaging event in Cape Town, South Africa, is an in-person course that includes didactic lectures, clinical sessions, case reviews and Q&A with expert faculty covering challenges and solutions unique to cancer care across the continent of Africa.
As cancer incidences grow globally, this course addresses cancer diagnosis and treatment specific to the continent of Africa. Experts in neuro, women’s, lung and prostate imaging will deliver cutting edge, oncological insights and review clinical sessions on the cancers most affecting Africa.

- Registrations are non-transferable. Name changes are not permitted; a new registration and payment are required.
- All registration cancellations must be made in writing to customerservice@rsna.org by Aug. 7, 2026, to receive a refund.
- Registration cancellations received by Aug. 7, 2026, will result in a refund of paid fees, minus a $15 administrative fee.
- Refund requests received after Aug. 7, 2026, will not be accepted or refunded.
- No refunds will be issued for registrations purchased and not used.
