The impact of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) on radiology and the importance of defining value in medical imaging are the focus of two plenary lectures planned for Tuesday, Nov. 28, at RSNA 2017.

“Machine Learning in Radiology: Why and How,” is the topic of the RSNA/AAPM (American Association of Physicists in Medicine) Symposium to be presented by Keith J. Dreyer, DO, PhD, and Antonio Criminisi, PhD, at 10:30 a.m. in Room E451B.

The Annual Oration in Diagnostic Radiology, “Strategies for Radiology to Thrive in the Value Era,” will be presented by Jonathan B. Kruskal, MD, PhD, at 1:30 p.m. in the Arie Crown Theater.
