RSNA Seeks Radiology: Imaging Cancer Trainee Editorial Board Members

Apply by June 1 for this unique editorial opportunity for radiology trainees

Radiology: Imaging Cancer, one of RSNA’s online journals for state-of-the-art research and commentaries on cancer imaging and image-guided therapy, is seeking applications from residents, fellows, graduate students and post-doctoral researchers for its new trainee editorial board. Terms on the editorial board will begin July 1, 2020. 

During their two-year term, editorial board members will:

  • Learn about peer review, research design, scientific editing and promoting radiology research.
  • Review up to six manuscripts per year.
  • Contribute at least one research highlight.
  • Participate in content for podcasts, commentaries, and social media releases.
  • Participate in the standard online review process for Radiology: Imaging Cancer and at the meeting of the full Editorial Board during the RSNA Annual Meeting.

Applicants must be in training in a relevant residency, fellowship, graduate degree program or postdoctoral research position throughout their term on the trainee editorial board. Trainees should have specific interests in cancer imaging and image-guided therapy, including diagnosis, treatment, technology and technology development, machine learning, health disparities and policy. Applicants must have strong critical-thinking skills, mastery of written English, experience in scientific writing and enthusiasm for advancing research and patient care in cancer imaging and image-guided therapy.

  • Cover letter with a three to four paragraph statement of interest
  • Current CV
  • Copy of one publication or abstract representative of his/her work
  • Statement from a faculty member who will serve as a mentor during his/her term on the trainee editorial board

Applicants must be members of RSNA throughout their term on the board. Submit application materials and/or questions to by June 1.
