RSNA 2019 Trending Topics

Molecular Imaging

Along with covering the basics, the full-day Molecular Imaging Symposium focuses on oncologic molecular imaging applications, such as treatment of prostate cancer and neurologic molecular imaging applications, focusing on dementia and Parkinson’s disease. The final session addresses theranostics and its implementation.

Attendees looking for more information on theranostics can attend Emerging Technology: Theranosis-Molecularly Targeted Therapies 2019, which covers its use in thyroid cancer and neuroendocrine tumors.

There are several sessions that introduce the current and latest PET tracers and alternative imaging modalities, including the Hot Topic Session, Imaging of Traumatic Brain Injury – Present and Future, which addresses PET tracers used to assess traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Education exhibits of interest include imaging of inflammation, image quantification to aid diagnosis and new tracers.
