Professor Gianluca Pontone

Professor Gianluca Pontone is the director of the department of perioperative cardiology and cardiovascular imaging at the Monzino Cardiology Center in Milan. Additionally, he is a contract professor at the University of Milan (at the School of Specialization in Cardiology and Radiodiagnostics) and is a visiting professor at Yonsei University in Seoul. He is also the director and lecturer in the basic and advanced master's programs in cardiac CT and cardiac MRI at the Monzino Cardiology Center. He is the author of approximately 284 scientific publications, five books, 496 abstracts at national and international conferences and 538 lectures. Professor Pontone is currently vice chair of the CT and nuclear medicine working groups of the Italian Society of Cardiology, a board member of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. He also serves as chair for the cardiovascular CT certification at EACVI.
