Search Opens for New Editor of 'Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging'

RSNA is accepting applications for the position of Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging editor.
Suhny Abbara, MD, who has served as editor of Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging since 2019, is assuming the editor-in-chief role for RSNA’s flagship journal, Radiology. Harold Litt, MD, PhD, is serving as interim editor of Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging.
Launched in 2019, Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imagingemphasizes new research and technical developments in imaging that drive cardiothoracic medicine. The journal serves as an invaluable resource for health care professionals, providing them with the latest advances, clinical guidelines and evidence-based insights necessary for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
The peer-reviewed bi-monthly journal focuses on advances in cardiac, vascular and thoracic medical imaging, including research on CT, MRI,& AI, congenital heart disease and pulmonary conditions, serving as a key platform for disseminating subspecialty content and innovation in the field.
The editor is responsible for:
- Encouraging submissions of scientific manuscripts to the journal.
- Setting high standards of scientific integrity.
- Developing guidelines and mechanisms for peer review.
- Ensuring timely release of accepted manuscripts for publication.
- Cooperating with RSNA leadership to produce a high-quality, self-supporting publication with a strong impact factor.
Interested individuals are invited to submit their curriculum vitae and a letter of interest/vision to Career Center | Recruitment. The letter of interest should outline qualifications and highlight relevant experience leading a collaborative team and mitigating competing interests. All expressions of interest must be submitted by close of business Feb. 5.
