RSNA Hosted Webinar on Data in Radiology

Topics included improving efficiencies and managing patient data

RSNA hosted a webinar on managing the data designed to reveal important information about a patients' health. Entitled, “Data in Radiology: Navigating Challenges and Improving Efficiencies,” the webinar was sponsored by IBM Watson Health.

The webinar discussed the challenges created in accessing health care data, gleaning the most useful insights and adapting to the expected future influx of data. Radiologists must not only learn how to access this data, but how they will be able to use it. Current IT systems exist to help manage data and images within departments and across the enterprise – and now from clinicians' homes – but accessing the data remains a key concern for most radiologists. Once they access it, the challenge turns to harnessing that data quickly and comprehensively so that the insights available can be converted into actionable information for clinicians.
