Clinical Trials Methodology Workshop (CTMW)

Acquire the tools you need to develop protocols and become a funded, principal investigator for imaging clinical trials during the Clinical Trials Methodology Workshop (CTMW).

During this intensive, highly successful course, participants will gain insight into writing trials that evaluate novel imaging or image-guided interventions and will learn how to design sound clinical trials and protocols.

Experienced faculty members will lead interactive didactic sessions, one-on-one mentoring and small-group discussions with trial experts and biostatisticians. Plus, faculty will prepare participants for the course ahead of time.

Onsite stay is required. Funding for travel and hotel stay is the responsibility of the student. There is no course registration fee.

Applicant criteria

Applicants will undergo a rigorous selection process. Successful applicants are:

  • MD and PhD investigators who are mid- and junior faculty, fellows and postdocs in radiology, radiation oncology or nuclear medicine
  • Residents with dedicated time and funding set aside for research
  • Currently in or plan to enter a career track that will permit them to be a principal investigator on a clinical trial
  • Participants must be RSNA members at the time of the workshop.

The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Foundation provides up to four travel awards for selected interventional radiology participants (sponsored applicants must be SIR members.)
