Derek Harwood-Nash International Education Scholar Grant

Your work has the potential to affect radiology students around the world for years to come. Through the R&E Foundation, the Derek Harwood-Nash International Education Scholar Grant provides funding for investigators whose focus is advancing radiologic education with an international scope.

Before Beginning Your Application

• Confirm your eligibility. Maintain RSNA membership in good standing. If you hold a non-dues-paying membership, the scientific advisor or at least one co-investigator must hold active dues-paying membership.
• Confirm international scope. The project must address radiologic education internationally. Examples include novel educational materials, teach-the-teachers initiatives, education in emerging nations or learner education across training levels.
• Confirm program limits. You may only submit only one grant application to the R&E Foundation per cycle (research or education grant), hold no concurrent grant from the R&E Foundation and must disclose overlapping support.
• Coordinate early. Identify the scientific advisor and key personnel and notify the department chair and grant administrator that signatures will be required.
• Address prior submissions. If the proposal was submitted to the R&E Foundation within the past 2 years, provide prior-submission details and explain how the current application addresses each issue.
• Review the Foundation's Priority Focus Areas. Consider how your proposal aligns with these topics. Proposals aligned with these areas are encouraged, but submissions addressing other important and innovative areas of international radiologic education are also welcome and will receive full consideration.
