RSNA Launches RSNA Ventures, Announces Rad AI Partnership
RSNA recently announced the launch of RSNA Ventures, a mission-aligned subsidiary created to drive innovation in radiology and imaging technologies. RSNA Ventures will serve to identify and accelerate innovative ideas that enhance the practice of radiology, improve patient care and advance the field of medical imaging. RSNA Ventures will work independently or through partnerships with startups, academic institutions, industry leaders and investors to develop new technologies, leverage the power of AI, address barriers in care delivery and make strategic investments to improve patient care.  

The first such partnership is with Rad AI, the leader in generative AI for healthcare. This partnership will deliver RSNA’s trusted peer-reviewed knowledge directly into radiologists’ daily workflow through Rad AI Reporting.
The collaboration marks a pivotal step in RSNA Ventures’ commitment to developing and commercializing solutions that enhance the practice of radiology, improve patient care and drive the future of medical imaging. By joining forces with Rad AI, RSNA Ventures aims to bring trusted, RSNA-powered innovations to market with speed and impact.

RSNA 2025 Media Registration Is Open
RSNA 2025 (Nov. 30 – Dec. 4 at McCormick Place, Chicago) offers a host of story opportunities for media:

• Breaking news from featured research presentations and more than 2,000 scientific presentations and posters covering the latest trends in imaging research on important topics like Alzheimer's disease, cancer, heart disease, obesity, AI advances and more
• Opportunities to interview radiology thought leaders
• Technical Exhibits, including the AI Showcase, featuring cutting-edge medical imaging equipment, technologies, applications and solutions

Deadline Nears for 3D SIG Model Submission
The deadline is approaching to submit 3D models for the RSNA 2025 3D SIG Showcase in the Technical Exhibits, South Hall A, from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3. Submissions are due Oct. 18. Votes for the Top Model Competition can be cast at the 3D SIG Showcase. 

RSNA 2025 Welcome Reception Follows Opening Session
Kick off RSNA 2025 by connecting with attendees at the Welcome Reception, immediately following the Opening Session on Sunday, Nov. 30, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. CT. The informal gathering will be held at the Connections Center and Learning Center. All RSNA 2025 attendees with a meeting badge are welcome.  

Radiology Reimagined: AI, innovation and interoperability in practice Returns at RSNA 2025
At “Radiology Reimagined,” to be held in the South Exhibit Hall, AI Showcase, Booth 5536, Nov. 30 – Dec. 3, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., RSNA 2025 attendees can meet with AI thought leaders to experience dynamic demonstrations of new tools and practice enhancements enabled by AI in real-world, clinical scenarios. The booth will host live interoperability demonstrations that showcase how the practice of medical imaging can be enhanced by technologies and learn more about the communications standards needed to integrate AI into the diagnostic radiology workflow.  

Run Radiology Forward at the RSNA 5k Fun Run
The RSNA 5k Fun Run will take place Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7 a.m. CT at Arvey Field in South Grant Park, Chicago. More than just a run, this energizing event supports the RSNA R&E Foundation, which funds grants and awards that drive innovation in radiologic research and education while nurturing talent across the specialty. The advance registration fee is $40. Beginning Nov. 30, onsite registration is $50. All registration fees are considered a donation and are nonrefundable. Participants are encouraged to share their selfies on social media using #RSNA25. 

RSNA Hosts Volunteer Event Benefiting Cradles to Crayons
More than 20 million children in the U.S. lack access to affordable, appropriate clothing. At RSNA 2025, attendees are invited to join RSNA’s Health Equity Committee in assembling winter kits for donation to Cradles to Crayons, a nonprofit that provides essential items – free of charge – to infants, toddlers and school-age children in need. The volunteer event will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Connections Center, Lakeside Center East, Level 3, McCormick Place.  

Exhibit Hall Social Debuts at RSNA 2025
Attendees and exhibitors are invited to unwind, network and connect at the new Exhibit Hall Social. The social offers a vibrant atmosphere filled with unique, interactive experiences.  Exhibit Hall Social will be held in North Hall A, Level 3 (Booths 1000-5999) and South Hall A, Level 3 (Booths 6000-8599) on Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 2 to 5 p.m. CT.

RSNA After Dark
Back for another year, RSNA After Dark is an exclusive, all attendee event held at TAO Chicago, a premier nightclub located in Chicago’s trendy River North neighborhood. This popular, ticketed event will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 9 p.m. to midnight. Ticket price includes entry to the venue, open bar, small bites and music from a world-class DJ. Attendees must be 21 to enter with photo ID required upon entry.  

R&E Foundation Accepting Grant Applications

The R&E Foundation’s grant applications are now open, offering a range of research and education funding opportunities. Application deadlines fall in January and February 2026. The Foundation is committed to supporting researchers who are driving transformative work in fields that demand greater attention and fresh perspectives. To spark innovation where it is needed most, applicants are encouraged to apply for funding to assist with projects focused on any of the following areas: 

• Precision Medicine - Theranostics 
• Imaging in Vulnerable Populations  
• Efficiencies in Radiology and Opportunities for Improvement 
• Personalized Care in Pediatric Imaging  
• Cybersecurity in Radiology Departments 
• Increasing Access and Efficiency – Doing More with Less

RSNA Hosts Live Case Reviews
RSNA’s Live Case Reviews—exclusively on EdCentral, are focused, expert-led, 15-minute sessions held monthly. The sessions, available to RSNA members, dive into intriguing cases across a range of subspecialties.  
On Oct. 22 at 9 a.m. CT, Karen Buch, M.D., discusses three problematic and interesting neuroradiology cases.  
Juliana M. Bueno, M.D., will explore three challenging chest imaging cases on Nov. 19 at 9 a.m. CT. 

RSNA Supports New FAIR Model for Essential Research Costs
In September, RSNA joined 163 other medical and scientific research organizations in sending a letter to leaders of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees, expressing support for the Joint Associations Group (JAG) on Indirect Costs’ efforts to develop a new model for federal support of essential research costs. In light of proposals from the Trump Administration to significantly cap indirect costs, also known as facilities and administrative (F&A) costs, on federal research grants, the JAG has developed the Financial Accountability In Research (FAIR) model, which is more precise and transparent in accounting for indirect costs on research grants.

RSNA Launches RSNA Unscripted
Recently, RSNA launched “RSNA Unscripted” on its Instagram, Facebook and YouTube channels. Hosted by Zi Jill Zhang M.D., M.S.C.E., this new interview series pulls back the curtain on the most pressing career questions facing radiologists today. With candid conversations with leaders from every sector of radiology on essential topics like leadership, finances, work-life balance and career pathways, “RSNA Unscripted” aims to be the radiologist’s go-to resource for practical insights, real-world advice and mentorship opportunities.
