Call for Cases: 3D SIG Showcase

The RSNA 3D Special Interest Group invites its members to participate in a 3D SIG Case Showcase, to be held during the 3D SIG Networking and Business Meeting at RSNA 2026. 

We are seeking engaging cases that highlight innovative uses of spatial imaging and visualization in clinical care, education or research. Submissions may include traditional 3D-printed models as well as digital and immersive visualizations, such as computer-based models, segmentation workflows, or demonstrations using augmented, virtual, or mixed reality. 

This showcase offers a unique opportunity to present your work in an interactive, collegial environment while connecting with fellow SIG members. The format is designed to encourage discussion, feedback and networking rather than formal competition. 

Participation is open exclusively to RSNA 3D SIG members. 

Review participation details below and submit your entries by Oct. 1.

Submission Instructions 

  1. Confirm eligibility
    You must be a current RSNA 3D SIG member to participate.
  2. Prepare your case
    Eligible submissions may include:
    • 3D-printed anatomical or procedural models
    • Digital 3D visualizations presented on a computer
    • Segmentation or image-based modeling workflows
    • AR, VR, or other extended-reality demonstrations
  3. Submit a brief case description
    Provide a short summary that includes:
    • Case title
    • Clinical context or use case
    • Visualization or output type (e.g., 3D print, digital model, AR/VR)
    • Key learning points or innovation
  4. Indicate presentation format
    Let us know how you plan to present (physical model, laptop demo, immersive visualization, etc.). 
  5. Submit by Oct. 1
    Cases will be reviewed by the 3D SIG leadership to ensure a balanced and engaging showcase. Submit your presentation summary to 3DSIG@rsna.org.
  6. Participate at RSNA 2026
    Accepted presenters will display or demonstrate their cases during the 3D SIG Networking and Business Meeting, engaging directly with attendees and fellow presenters.
