Board of Trustees Announces New Appointments
The R&E Foundation Board of Trustees welcomes two new appointees: Jennifer Harvey, MD and Richard Heller, MD. They are eager to share their expertise to guide the work of the Foundation over the course of their term.
Dr. Harvey is the Dr. Stanley M. Rogoff & Dr. Raymond Gramiak Professor and Chair of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester. She served as breast imaging section head for the American Institute of Radiologic Pathology for 10 years and continues as faculty. She is an international expert in women’s imaging and early detection of breast cancers. Her work in this area resulted in the current version of the Tyrer-Cuzick breast cancer risk model. She has served on the RSNA Scientific Program Committee.
Dr. Heller is a pediatric radiologist, Senior Vice President of Health Policy for Radiology Partners and a Clinical Associate at the University of Chicago. He is an engaged leader in organized radiology and served on the RSNA Board of Directors from 2021-2024. Dr. Heller holds leadership roles on the Economics Commission of the American College of Radiology and is on the editorial board of Pediatric Radiology. He also serves on the Pre-Rulemaking Measure Review committee for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

At the helm in 2026, the Foundation’s Board of Trustees officers are Pamela K. Woodard, MD, Chair, Michael S. Gee, MD, MBA, PhD, chair-elect and treasurer, and Lori L. Barr, MD, secretary.
The Board of Trustees also welcomes Birgit B. Ertl-Wagner, MD, PhD. As a newly appointed member of the RSNA Board of Directors, she will be serving as the Liaison for Science, including serving as the liaison to the Foundation. Dr. Ertl-Wagner is the radiologist-in-chief of the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She is the Derek Harwood-Nash Chair in Medical Imaging fellow and a senior associate scientist in the Neurosciences & Mental Health Program of the SickKids Research Institute. Dr. Ertl-Wagner is a professor in the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto. She is a longstanding deputy editor for Radiology and senior consultant to the editor for Radiology and Radiology Advances.
