Honoring the Legacy of Lawrence R. Muroff, MD
(Dec. 26, 1942 – March 27, 2025)

Dr. Lawrence R. Muroff was a remarkable individual whose contributions to the field of radiology left a lasting imprint. A devoted RSNA member for over fifty years, he exemplified leadership, generosity and a lifelong commitment to continuing medical education. His passion for sharing knowledge enriched the careers of countless colleagues and advanced the profession for future generations.
In 2002, Dr. Muroff and his wife, Carol, became RSNA R&E Foundation Legacy Donors, reflecting their deep belief in the power of education. This commitment came full circle recently when the Foundation received a generous $25,000 estate gift from Dr. Muroff. Upon receiving this gift, Carol reminded us of his enduring dedication to education and professional growth—values that made him a beloved figure within our community.
Dr. Muroff’s legacy lives on through the RSNA R&E Foundation, continuing the work he valued so deeply and ensuring that his passion for education benefits generations to come.
