Whether RSNA 2019 is your first annual meeting or you attend every year, we are excited to welcome you to Chicago. We compiled some of the best tips and information from attendees just like you to help you make the most of your meeting.

First-time attendee resources

We have some additional resources to help you navigate your very first RSNA annual meeting.

Before you travel to Chicago, attend our First-Time Attendees’ Webinar to learn helpful tips from RSNA annual meeting experts. This webinar will air live Wednesday, November 20 at 12 PM Chicago Time

When you arrive at the annual meeting, plan to attend our First-Time Attendees’ Orientation and Welcome on Sunday, the first day of the meeting. We also offer this session in multiple languages, including French, Spanish and Portuguese. View dates and times in our online program.

Before the meeting

First things first: Be sure to register for the meeting, reserve your hotel and plan your travels. Then, you can start planning what you’d like to see and do once you arrive. Reviewing the program and developing your agenda before the meeting will help you maximize your time in Chicago.

Log into Meeting Central

Meeting Central is your go-to site for the annual meeting. Once you’ve registered, login to Meeting Central to organize your activities before the meeting so you can make the most of your visit.

Our meeting app is your mobile guide to each RSNA annual meeting. You can use the app to:

Add Virtual Meeting to your registration

If you haven’t already done so, register for the Virtual Meeting to extend your learning opportunities after the in-person meeting ends.

Featuring over 400 live and on-demand courses, scientific presentations, plenary sessions, case of the day and CME opportunities, Virtual Meeting lets you view sessions or presentations you may have missed during the meeting and revisit topics of interest.

During the meeting

Once you reach McCormick Place, we hope you enjoy all the excitement the annual meeting has to offer. Here are some tips to help you have a great RSNA.
Pick up your badge

RSNA badges can be printed and picked up once you arrive in Chicago. You will need a valid photo ID to pick up your badge.

Badges are printed at any of the three designated registration locations in McCormick Place orat the badge pickup kiosks at select hotels on Saturday and Sunday.

New registrants should also complete their registration at a registration desk or online before picking up their badges.

Visit the RSNA Connections Center

Make plans to visit the RSNA Connections Center, located in the Lakeside Center East. RSNA staff will be on hand to provide demonstrations and answer questions about all our products and services.

The Connections Center is the place for you to:

  • Get tech support for our online program, the mobile app, Virtual Meeting and more
  • Find answers to your RSNA annual meeting questions
  • Catch a live performance or informative talk in our Discovery Theater
  • Relax and network in our lounge space or grab a bite to eat
  • Shop for souvenirs or take a free, fun RSNA-branded photo with colleagues
  • Speak to staff about RSNA membership, journals subscriptions and other member benefits
  • Learn about R&E Foundation activities, current grant and award recipients and donors

Experience the Learning Center
See more than 2,500 posters on science, education and quality improvement topics. Located next to the Connections Center in Lakeside Center East, you’ll find fascinating posters for self-study throughout the week. Earn CME credits by attending 30-minute presentations given by select abstract authors during the lunch hour, Sunday through Thursday.
Explore the Technical Exhibit halls

Be sure to visit the world’s largest medical exhibition of radiologic products and services, located in the North and South Halls on Level 3, as well as the AI Showcase, North Hall, Level 1.

Leading manufacturers, suppliers and medical technology developers demonstrate the latest advancements in medical imaging and discuss the radiology products and services you need to enhance operations and improve patient care.

Read the Daily Bulletin

The official daily newspaper of the annual meeting is a must-read. Daily Bulletin has the latest meeting news, hot topics and new product and service information from exhibitors.

Paper copies will be available throughout McCormick place. The Daily Bulletin is also available on the RSNA meeting app.

Network with colleagues

Areas with seating for networking can be found throughout McCormick Place including:

  • Bistro RSNA locations
  • Residents Lounge
  • R&E Donor Suite
  • Learning Center
  • Grand Concourse lobby
  • Entrances to the exhibit halls
  • Starbucks locations throughout McCormick Place.

Use the Peer Finder in the RSNA meeting app to see who is attending this year and share private messages.

Make plans for Chicago sight-seeing and dining
Stop by the Chicago concierge desk located in the Grand Concourse, Level 3. Local hospitality experts will recommend restaurants and city attractions, make reservations and offer concierge services.

After the meeting

Even though the annual meeting may be over, you still have opportunities to earn CME and stay involved with RSNA.
Finalize your live certificate to claim CME

In order to record and obtain AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM you must evaluate courses and claim credit through My Agenda or at any Internet Station in McCormick Place.

Internet Stations let you finalize before you leave Chicago and walk away with your printed certificate in hand. 

Reminder: If you are participating in Virtual Meeting, you will still need to finalize all credits you earned during the physical meeting.

Keep learning

There is still a lot of education to access even after the annual meeting and Virtual Meeting are over. 

You can view online education exhibits, available to all RSNA members and attendees from that year’s annual meeting. Select content from each year’s annual meeting will be posted in our Online Learning Center as it becomes available the following year.
