      Chicago Airports to/from Downtown Chicago:

Chicago Transit Authority (CTA): The CTA’s convenient and easy to use bus and elevated/subway train lines – including the famous “L” – carry passengers around town and to major attractions. The CTA website offers a valuable overview of transit services and rates, a guide to the system, instructions for first-time riders and much more. A one-way ticket full fare is $2.25. When paying cash change is not provided, so use the exact amount.

      • O’Hare International Airport (ORD): Is served by the CTA Blue Line which stops at Terminal 2. Blue Line trains serve O’Hare Airport 24 hours-per-day, every day. Trains operate every few minutes during the day and every 15-30 minutes overnight.

      • Midway International Airport (MDW): Is served by the Orange Line which stops just steps from the airport terminal. Orange Line trains serve Midway from early-morning through late-evening hours, every day. Trains operate every 7-15 minutes.

Taxi: Taxis are available on a first come, first serve basis at the lower-level curb at O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Midway International Airport (MDW). There are no flat rates because all taxis run on meters. The fare is approximately $40 from O’Hare and $30 from Midway to the downtown area. However, during rush hours ( Monday-Friday 4:30pm-7:00pm), the cost may double. For wheelchair accessible vehicles, call United Dispatch at 1-800-281-4466.

Hotels to/from McCormick Place Convention Center:

It is not feasible to walk to McCormick Place as the convention center is located about 4 miles from city center and the route does not have designated pedestrian paths.

RSNA Shuttle Bus: RSNA provides complimentary shuttle bus service between RSNA 2013 official hotels and McCormick Place. Allow a minimum of 30-40 minutes for travel in the event of inclement weather or traffic.

Metra Electric Train System: Ride for free to/from downtown Chicago stations using the Metra ticket that will be included in your meeting registration wallet. Travel times from downtown stations to McCormick Place are approximately 7 minutes and located within walking distance to many hotels. Station information is available in the RSNA 2013 pocket guide.

Taxi: Taxi service is available throughout the city and can cost anywhere from $5 to $30 per ride, depending on the distance and travel time.
