Launched at RSNA 2012, the Radiology Cares campaign is designed to help radiology professionals become more patient-centered in their practice. Recognizing that patients are the primary focus of radiologic care, Radiology Cares provides resources, educational materials and other tools to help take patient-centered radiology from concept to practice. It also serves as a platform where radiology professionals can share success stories and exchange ideas about what it means to provide patient-centered radiologic care – send to RadiologyCares@rsna.org.
Mission
The Radiology Cares campaign mission is to optimize the patient experience in radiology.
Goals
To promote:
- Alignment of radiology practice with patients’ needs and best interests.
- Radiologists' meaningful engagement in their patients' experiences throughout the continuum of their radiologic care.
- Effective communications between radiologists, patients and other healthcare providers.
- Patients' ability to make informed decisions regarding their medical care.
Tenets
