NIH Grantsmanship Workshop

Workshop Date:  Saturday, November 26, 2011

Registration to be completed on the RSNA 2011 website.

RSNA/ARR Study Section Reviewers Workshop

Workshop Date:  Saturday, November 26, 2011

Registration is to be completed on the RSNA 2011 website.

This workshop will provide attendees with a clearer understanding of the review process, to better prepare them to serve as reviewers on NIH Study Sections or other grant-review panels.  Although there is a significant amount of information available on how the review process works, many investigators (new and experienced) often have questions that are best answered directly in person by those who have first-hand experience.  This is particularly true for clinicians who do not have the time to search the available information.

Workshop Fee: $35.00

Writing A Competitive Grant Proposal

Guided by a faculty of leading researchers with extensive experience in all aspects of grant applications and funding, the program will focus on developing realistic expectations of and tools for getting started on the grant process.

Clinical Trials Methodology Workshop

The 2013 online application website will be activated by March, 2012.

Workshop Dates for January 2013: To be determined

Application deadline date: June 4, 2012

Investigators with an MD or PhD degree are eligible to apply. Applicants should be in, or plan to enter, a career track that will permit them to be a Principal Investigator on a clinical trial. Participants will learn how to develop protocols for the clinical evaluation of imaging modalities. Familiarity with basic concepts and techniques of statistics and study design is needed for all applicants. Over the course of the workshop, each workshop trainee will be expected to develop a protocol for a clinical study, ready to include in an application for external funding.
