Continuous Quality Improvement Initiative

In recent years the Institute of Medicine (IOM) and other professional and consumer agencies have called for healthcare providers to implement and support activities whose purposes are to continually improve care they provide, while reducing safety risks to patients and those that care for them. This coincides ideally with the RSNA's mission of commitment to excellence in patient care through education and research of its members. Immediately following the March 2006 Board meeting, the Quality Improvement Committee (QIC) was convened and charged with developing programs and tools to support Members in the on-going assessment of practice process and outcomes, in order to improve delivery of healthcare in radiology.

The information found on this site is the first project of the QIC. It is continually updated with training and educational opportunities through RSNA tools, as well as other resources and mentors to support practice assessment and quality improvement programs in radiology.
