| 1. How can I obtain permission to use RSNA content? | |
|
|
| 2. What is an Image License? | |
Beginning in April 2003 all Radiology and RadioGraphics corresponding authors were granted an automatic RSNA Image License which gives him/her the right to reuse their images without obtaining RSNA permission. Back to the top |

| 3. How should I cite RSNA content that I have received permission to use? | |
RSNA content should be cited as noted on the permissions letter you receive. Please acknowledge as follows: “Reproduced, with permission, from <<author name(s), article name, publication name, year of publication, volume, and page number.>> Proper acknowledgment should be given at each place where content is reused. | 4. How can I pay the permission fee? | |
Fees associated with certain types of use may be paid by credit card in US dollars (USD) only. The amount a requestor owes will be clearly indicated on the invoice provided by RSNA. Further payment details will be also be included on the invoice. Back to the top |

| 5. What do the different format types mean? | |
RSNA content may be used in three formats: Print, Electronic, and/or Web. "Format" indicates in what medium the content is to be reproduced. Content may be used only in the format that is specified in the final RSNA permissions letter. A requester is able to select one or all format options on the interactive RSNA Rights form by clicking the empty box next to your desired choice(s).

| 6. To how many people may I distribute RSNA content? | |
There are three different distribution ranges available in the drop-down menu:
To indicate the distribution of your work, please locate in the "Estimated Circulation" section on the permissions request form. The option selected should reflect the circulation or number of recipients who will receive your work. Please note that delivering a publication in both print and electronic formats to the same recipient is a circulation number of one. Sending a publication in print to one recipient and electronically to another is a circulation of two. Back to the top |

| 7. Who may use RSNA content? | |
RSNA Rights provides the opportunity for all types of requestors to obtain permission for content use. In your request, it is necessary to include the type of organization you represent.

| 8. How may I use RSNA content? | |
|
In the "How Would You Like To Use This Content" section of RSNA Rights, you may select a type of use which describes what you are doing with the requested content. If you do not see an option that reflects your intended use, please contact permissions@rsna.org RSNA offers the following options for content use:

| 9. Will taxes apply to my permissions request? | |
No, taxes will not apply to your RSNA Rights invoice order total. RSNA does not apply taxes on permissions fees. Back to the top |
