Original ResearchThis is the most common type of article published in Radiology. It provides new knowledge based on original research. It should be hypothesis driven and have well described methods that can effectively answer the question. Appropriate statistical analysis is necessary. In addition, you should provide one to three “Implications for Patient Care.” These are also bulleted single sentences specifying how your work can affect patient care. (Some research may not have direct implications for patient care, in which case you should note “Not applicable” for this section.) Maximums: structured abstract, 250 words; word count from Introduction through Discussion, 3000 words; number of references, 35; number of figure parts (individual images, charts, or graphs), eight; number of tables, four. |
