- The 2010 World Molecular Imaging Congress- September 8-11, 2010 in Kyoto, Japan.
Like WMIC 2009, the 2010 program was constructed primarily on the strength of submitted abstracts, and the Program Committee integrated many of these abstracts into special sessions that brought attendees from different disciplines together for a comprehensive examination of the role of molecular imaging in particular biomedical problems.
Organizers from the Society for Molecular Imaging (SMI), the Academy of Molecular Imaging (AMI), the Federation of Asian Societies for Molecular Imaging (FASMI), the European Society for Molecular Imaging (ESMI), the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the SNM (SNM) worked together, with input from a scientifically diverse, international program committee, to develop a scientific program which integrates developments in imaging technologies and molecular imaging agents with applications for drug development, basic science investigations, and clinical translation.
Industry exhibits included the latest advances in preclinical and clinical imaging applications to create a "one-stop" molecular imaging educational technology showcase. The WMIC brought together technically distinct and separate research communities that have a shared vision in the molecular imaging sciences.
