Figure Legend | Panel B | Panel A
Figure 11: Primary CNS lymphoma in a 39-year-old man with headaches and seizures. Axial contrast-enhanced CT scans (Panel B obtained at a higher level than Panel A) show multiple bilateral enhancing nodules (arrows) in subcortical locations with mild surrounding edema and mass effect (sulcal effacement). On the basis of this appearance, metastatic disease was suspected, but evaluation for a primary neoplasm was negative. Analysis of the specimen obtained at stereotactic biopsy of one of the lesions revealed a diffuse large cell immunoblastic lymphoma of T-cell origin.
