Primary CNS B-cell lymphoma with characteristic perivascular concentration of the malignant cellular infiltrate. Panel A High-power photomicrograph (original magnification, x400, hematoxylin-eosin stain) shows a central blood vessel (arrow) surrounded by noncohesive cells with high nuclear to cytoplasmic ratios; scant cytoplasm; and pleomorphic nuclei of variable size, shape, staining density, and nucleolar prominence. Neoplastic cells (arrowheads) also infiltrate the surrounding delicately fibrillar neuropil (n) with reactive gemistocytic astrocytes. Panel B High-power photomicrograph (original magnification, x400, hematoxylin-eosin stain) shows a larger blood vessel (v) surrounded by perivascular cellular infiltrate containing numerous mitotic figures (arrowheads).
