Panel A Photograph of the lower extremities shows a characteristic rash of necrolytic migratory erythema. Panel B Axial contrast-enhanced CT scan reveals a 5-cm, heterogeneously enhancing mass in the pancreatic tail (arrow). On other images, the mass contained punctate calcification. Panel C Splenic arteriogram shows a large, hypervascular mass in the pancreatic tail. Panel D Portal venogram, shown with the results of portal venous sampling, which localizes the tumor to the pancreatic tail.
