Gastrinoma in a 69-year-old man with a history of gastroesophageal reflux who presented with diarrhea and bleeding in the upper gastrointestinal tract. At esophagogastroduodenoscopy, erosive gastritis and multiple duodenal ulcers were seen. Panel A Intraoperative US scan demonstrates a homogeneous, hypoechoic, lobulated mass (M). Panel B Planar whole-body scan obtained with indium-111-labeled octreotide shows a focal area of increased radiotracer activity (arrow). Panel C Axial contrast-enhanced CT scan reveals a homogeneous, well-defined, solid extrapancreatic mass 2 cm in diameter (arrow). Panel D Photograph of the gross specimen shows a solid mass.
