Figure 11: Vipoma in a 68-year-old woman who presented with a pruritic rash and diarrhea and who had metabolic acidosis. Panel A Axial T2-weighted (2,285/80) image reveals a subtle area of increased signal intensity in the pancreatic head (curved arrow). The high-signal-intensity metastatic focus within the liver is clearly discernible (straight arrow). Panel B Axial contrast-enhanced CT scan reveals a ring-enhancing mass less than 1 cm in diameter in the pancreatic head (arrow). There is a large metastatic deposit within the liver (arrowhead).
