Intralobar sequestration. Panel A Low-power (original magnification, ´25; hematoxylin-eosin stain) photomicrograph of an intralobar sequestration demonstrates dense fibrous tissue separating spaces lined by low cuboidal epithelium. Note the lymphoid aggregates (Arrow in ), which indicate chronic inflammation. Panel B High-power (original magnification, ´50; hematoxylin-eosin stain) photomicrographs show multiple intercommunicating cystic areas lined by a low cuboidal epithelium (Arrowhead in ). The spaces are filled with macrophages and amorphous debris (*). Focal lymphoid aggregates surround the cysts (Arrow in Panel C).
