Intralobar sequestration. Panel A Photograph of the cut surface of a lower lobe intralobar sequestration shows multiple cystic spaces containing thick mucoid fluid. Normal lung tissue (Arrow in ) partially surrounds the lesion. Panel B Specimen radiograph of a resected lobe obtained after injection of contrast material into the systemic vessel that fed a multicystic intralobar sequestration. The lesion is surrounded by tissue (Arrow in ) that is not supplied by the anomalous systemic vessel and thus represents normal lung tissue.
