Intralobar sequestration. Panel A Contrast-enhanced chest CT scan (mediastinal window) of a 23-year-old man with recurrent pneumonia in the right lower lobe demonstrates a large consolidation with irregular borders. The central branching vessels originate from a systemic artery that supplied the lesion (not shown). Panel B Photograph of a cut specimen of a resected lower lobe from another patient demonstrates a basilar parenchymal consolidation with irregular borders against the adjacent lung. The anomalous vessel supplying the intralobar sequestration is seen in the central portion of the lesion.
