Panel A Photomicrograph (original magnification, X100; hematoxylin-eosin stain) of a giant cell GBM, previously known as monstrocellular sarcoma, demonstrates a single, large, multinucleated giant cell with abundant clear cytoplasm (arrows). Panel B Photomicrograph (original magnifica-tion, X40; hematoxylin-eosin stain) of a small cell GBM demonstrates large numbers of small uniform cells with scant cytoplasm. Note the pseudopalisading (curved arrows) and extensive neovascularity (straight arrows). Panel C Photomicrograph (original magnification, X40; hematoxylin-eosin stain) of a gliosarcoma shows a predominance of elongated spindle cells.
