Figure 12: Panel A Axial unenhanced CT scan shows a large intracerebral hematoma, consistent with a hypertensive hemorrhage originating in the left basal ganglia. Diagnosis at autopsy was GBM. Panel B Sagittal T1-weighted image of a 12-year-old boy demonstrates a mass with an hematocrit effect, or fluid-fluid level, consistent with layering blood products. This case was another uncommon manifestation of bleeding within a GBM.
