Figure 14: Fatty replacement of the pancreas in a 46-year-old man with CF. Panel A Transverse sonogram shows a markedly echogenic pancreas (arrowheads), consistent with fatty replacement or fibrosis. The splenic vein (S) is seen posteriorly. Panel B Contrast material-enhanced CT scan of the abdomen demonstrates the pancreas (arrowheads) uniformly replaced by fat attenuation.
