Figure 24: Pericardial invasion of MPM in the right hemithorax in a 65-year-old man. Contrast-enhanced CT scan (mediastinal window) shows circumferential growth of tumor with a loculated right pleural effusion and a smaller left effusion. The fat plane between the pericardium and the tumor is obliterated (arrows), and a pericardial effusion can be seen anteriorly (*). Pericardial invasion was proved at autopsy.
