Figure 8: FNH in a 26-year-old woman, with a history of appendectomy due to carcinoid tumor, who presented with hot flush and diarrhea. The study was performed to look for carcinoid metastasis, which was not found. Panel A Contrast-enhanced CT scan shows a homogeneous enhancing mass involving the inferior segment of the right lobe of the liver. A central low-attenuation scar (arrow) is noted. Panel B Tc-99m sulfur colloid scan shows a mass with a cold defect (arrow), relative to the surrounding liver. Such a defect is seen in approximately 50% of cases. Panel C Celiac angiogram shows a hypervascular mass centrally supplied by the right hepatic artery (arrow). Its branches radiating outward give a spoked-wheel appearance.
