Figure 7:
FNH in a 23-year-old woman who had mildly elevated levels of liver enzymes, found during a routine physical checkup. Panel A Unenhanced CT scan shows a large isoattenuating mass arising from the left lobe of the liver. A central scar is not seen. Panel B CT arterioportogram shows a large low-attenuation mass replacing the lateral segment of the left lobe of the liver. A low-attenuation area (arrow), representing a central scar, is noted. Multiple low-attenuation areas noted in the remaining liver represent iatrogenic air emboli. Panel C T1-weighted MR image (550/20) shows the large mass, which is isointense relative to the liver. The central low-signal-intensity scar (arrow), with radiating fine linear septa throughout the lesion, is also seen. Panel D Gross specimen from the resected liver shows a well-delineated mass with a central fibrous scar (arrow) and radiating septa.
