FNH in a 19-year-old woman who presented with abdominal pain. Panel A Color Doppler US image of the upper abdomen shows a well-defined mass in the left lobe of the liver. A central hypervascular nidus (arrow) that corresponds to a central scar is noted. A large draining vessel (arrowhead) was identified in the peripheral aspect of the mass. Panel B Gross specimen from the resected liver shows a lobulated, pale-tan mass with a central scar containing multiple vessels (arrow).
