Cerebral hemispheric teratoma in a 6-year-old boy. Panel A Unenhanced CT scan shows a multiloculated, heterogeneous mass with a triradiate calcification located medially. Most of the mass has attenuation similar to that of cerebrospinal fluid. Panel B Contrast-enhanced CT scan demonstrates enhancement of the peripheral rim and in two nodular areas along the central septum. Panel C Proton-density weighted MR image, with the left-right reversed, shows that the mass is producing vasogenic edema.
