Figure 2: Cystic nephroma in a 17-month-old girl with a firm right upper quadrant mass. Panel A Sagittal sonogram shows a multiseptated cystic mass in the right renal fossa. Panel B Nonenhanced CT scan shows soft-tissue septa dividing the 8 X 11-cm mass into multiple fluid-filled loculi. A "beak sign" (arrows) clearly demonstrates the renal origin of the mass. Panel C Hemisectioned gross specimen reveals a uniformly cystic mass with multiple loculi lined by smooth epithelium.
