Figure 6:
Cystic nephroma in a 16-year-old boy who was examined for enuresis. Panel A Scout image for an excretory urographic study shows a mass (arrows) arising from the lower pole of the left kidney that contains curvilinear calcifications (arrowheads). Panel B On the 5-minute excretory urogram, the noncalcified segments of septa are enhanced (arrow). Panel C Transverse sonogram of the left kidney demonstrates a multiseptated cystic mass. Curvilinear calcification (arrow) produces acoustic shadowing. Panel D Contrast-enhanced CT scan demonstrates calcified septa (white arrow) and cyst herniation into the renal pelvis (black arrow). The mean attenuation value at the region-of-interest cursor was 5 HU, consistent with that of water.
