Figure 3: Microscopic appearance of cystic nephroma. Panel A Low-power photomicrograph (original magnification, X150; hematoxylin-eosin stain) shows multiple cystic spaces with fibrous tissue septa and well-differentiated tubules. Panel B Higher-power photomicrograph (original magnification, X300; hematoxylin-eosin stain) demonstrates septa lined by flattened to cuboidal epithelium with a focal hobnail appearance (arrows). There are no blastemal elements.
