Panel A High-power photomicrograph (original magnification, X100; H-E stain) of a mediastinal lymph node involved by sarcoidosis demonstrates almost complete replacement of the nodal architecture by noncaseating epithelioid granulomas. Panel B Cut section of the distal trachea and paratracheal areas in a case of sarcoidosis demonstrates bulky lymphadenopathy of the right paratracheal and subcarinal areas.
