• Quality Improvement

  • The Institute of Medicine (IOM) and other professional and consumer agencies have called for healthcare providers to implement and support activities to continually improve care while reducing safety risks to patients and those that care for them. This coincides with the RSNA's mission of commitment to excellence in patient care through education and the research of its members.

The Quality Improvement Committee (QIC) was convened and charged with developing programs and tools to support Members in the on-going assessment of practice process and outcomes, in order to improve delivery of healthcare in radiology.

Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement® (PCPI®) measures (encompassing structure, process and outcome) have set the bar for evaluating quality of care for a wide range of clinical topics.  The newly approved PCPI Approved Quality Measure: Optimizing Patient Exposure to Ionizing Radiation is now available for viewing under the Practice Resources and Guidelines tab below.                                                                                                                                                                                                                          The following tools and resources are designed to help you.
