Submit Abstracts for RSNA 2008

The online system to submit abstracts for RSNA 2008 is now open. The submission deadline is 12:00 p.m. Central Time on April 15, 2008. Abstracts are required for scientific papers, scientific posters, education exhibits and a new category, applied science exhibits. Applied science exhibits include submissions that demonstrate non-hypothesis-based work not yet generally accepted enough in practice to be considered an education exhibit.

To submit an abstract online, go to RSNA.org/abstracts. For more information about the abstract submission process, contact the RSNA Program Services Department at 1-877-776-2227 within the U.S. or 1-630-590-7774 outside the U.S.

McLoud Offers Meeting Information via Online Videos

First-time visitors to the annual meeting Web site, RSNA2008.RSNA.org, are greeted by an animated on-screen RSNA President Theresa C. McLoud, M.D., who discusses such topics as abstract submission, registration and CME credit.

To make the videos, Dr. McLoud was videotaped during RSNA 2007 speaking in front of a "green screen," not unlike those used by TV weather forecasters. Footage was then used to make the online vignettes.

The current video plays once every five visits to the site. The counter resets each time a new video is introduced.
