    Application deadline June 15, 2013.  A 6-½ day workshop for faculty members and fellows in radiology, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine academic departments, to assist in the development of a protocol for a clinical evaluation of imaging modalities, ready for inclusion in an application for external funding.

    Introduction to Academic Radiology

     
     
    Application deadline July 15, 2013  This 4-day seminar focuses on introducing PGY-3 residents to academic radiology. It demonstrates the importance of research in diagnostic radiology, illustrates the excitement of academic careers, and exposes residents to successful clinical radiology researchers.  
    Advanced Course in Grant Writing    Application deadline July 31, 2013.   Participants are MD or PhD faculty in a radiology, radiation oncology, or nuclear medicine program. This four-session course prepares participants to submit a quality grant application to the NIH, NSF, or other equivalent institution. 
    NIH Grantsmanship Workshop   Course enrollment opens July 2013.   A half-day workshop at RSNA 2013 to provide participants with an introduction to writing a grant proposal for the NIH, specifically related to the radiological sciences. Registration to be completed on the RSNA 2013 meeting website.  
    RSNA/ARR Study Section Reviewers Workshop    Course enrollment opens July 2013.  A half-day workshop at RSNA 2013 to provide participants with a clearer understanding of the review process, to better prepare them to serve as reviewers on NIH- or other Study Sections Registration to be completed on the RSNA 2013 meeting website.  

    Creating and Optimizing the Research Enterprise (CORE) Workshop

    Registration opens in April 2013 
    A 1-½ day workshop designed for representatives from departments of radiology, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine, focusing on strategies for developing and expanding department research programs.   
    Writing a Competitive Grant Proposal   Registration deadline has passed.  A 1-½ day grant writing program for researchers in radiology, radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, and related sciences, interested in actively pursuing federal funding.  This program focuses on developing strong Specific Aims and tools for getting started on the grant process.
