Giving Back has International Appeal

Anyone who has attended an RSNA Annual Meeting has seen first hand that the RSNA is a society with influence far beyond the borders of North America. Worldwide, the RSNA is viewed in high esteem by those practicing in the international community. Further proof of its expanding reach is exemplified by the support of international donors for the RSNA R&E Foundation. The support of international donors not only helps the Foundation to fund the grants that will make the future of radiology strong for years to come, but also proves that the RSNA remains a viable and respected institution around the world.
A regular contributer to the R&E Foundation, Hector T.G. Ma, M.D. recently committed to a generous pledge of $25,000 making him a Silver Anniversary Campaign Pacesetter and Platinum Visionary donor. Dr. Ma's commitment to the future of radiology highlights international support of the R&E Foundation.
Originally from Hong Kong, Dr. Ma received his university and postgraduate diagnostic radiology training in Canada. Dr. Ma returned home to set up his private practice in Hong Kong where he has become the Radiologist-in-charge of the Scanning Department at St. Teresa’s Hospital, one of Hong Kong’s busiest MR Centers, since its inception in 1989.
Dr. Ma and fellow international donors like Campaign Pacesetter Lilian Leong, M.D. also of Hong Kong, Bronze Visionary and Presidents Circle members Johan G. Blickman, M.D. of the Netherlands and Rainer G. Bluemm, M.D. of Germany, along with countless others around the world recognize the importance of giving to the RSNA R&E Foundation.
“I depend on the RSNA to infuse me with knowledge of the many new advances within my specialty which have resulted in improved patient care and a more dynamic specialty,” says Dr. Ma.
As a result of the knowledge he has gained thanks to the RSNA, Dr. Ma believes that donating to the RSNA R&E Foundation is “my way of paying back my debt to an organization that has meant so much to my career.”
