About the RSNA R&E Foundation
As part of the RSNA’s commitment to research and education, the Research & Education Foundation was created in 1984. At a time when radiology research was scarce, the RSNA decided to “Look Forward” to ensure a vibrant future for the specialty. Since then, the Foundation has grown with the support of radiologists, companies and other stakeholders in the industry.
Each year, the R&E Foundation awards over $1 million in grants to promising investigators and educators in radiology. In the past two decades, the Foundation has enabled over 600 individuals to pursue radiologic research and education for the benefit of the entire radiologic community.
