Grant Programs - Next Deadline, Jan/Feb 2010

The RSNA R&E Foundation research grants encourage careers in the radiologic sciences and bring recognition to previously undiscovered investigators, enabling them to develop research experience, strengthen research techniques and methods, and prepare for future major grant applications. The education grants present opportunities to develop interest and expertise in radiologic education, provide specialty training for fellows, encourage improvement in health sciences education, and promote career advancement for a new generation of teachers and academic leaders in radiology.

Deadline for Applications:

  • Research Grants: January 15
  • Education Grants: January 10
  • Medical Student Grant: February 1

Application Process: Applications are completed online using the Online Grant Application System. A printed, signed copy must be received in the Foundation office on or before the posted deadline date. Click here to begin the application process.

Becker, Gary

“Survey data reveal the extraordinary success—measured in subsequent research dollars—of investigators with RSNA R&E Foundation-funded research early in their careers. Many of the topics these creative and inquisitive researchers investigate soon translate into clinical application and dissemination. There is no better investment in the future of radiologic practice anywhere in the world.”

- Gary J. Becker, MD, 2009 President, RSNA; Executive Director, American Board of Radiology

Rao, Vijay

"With the ever-increasing scope and complexity of our field, it has become more important than ever to support innovation in teaching and research around the world. It will be gratifying to see how the global expansion of the RSNA R&E Foundation grant programs will impact our daily practice.

- Vijay M. Rao, MD, FACR Member, R&E Foundation Board of Trustees

Street, Mandie

“Through the generosity of the RSNA R&E Foundation grant, we will expand upon clinical and research capabilities by developing a radiation dose recording system to reduce the overall patient exposure. Applying these findings will improve both the efficiency of our  operations as well as patient safety.”

- Mandie Street, RT(R)(MR), Grant Recipient
