Maintenance of Certification (MOC) The Maintenance of Certification (MOC) process is designed to facilitate and document the professional development of physicians through its focus on the essential elements of quality care. The initial elements of the American Board of Radiology MOC program have been developed in accord with guidelines of The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
Lifelong learning is critical to ensure that new information and knowledge are incorporated into clinical practice. Your learning activities include a combination of accredited RSNA online continuing medical education programs and self-assessment modules (SAMs).
The RSNA created an MOC Registry to assist members participating in the ABR MOC process. The MOC Registry includes several resources that complement RSNA online CME programs and SAMs.
Completing and updating the My Practice Profile section will help you define your practice and target your lifelong learning activities more appropriately since all aspects of the ABR MOC process are to reflect your practice. The information entered is confidential and will be used by the RSNA only to determine what types of educational programming you may need to fulfill the ABR MOC requirements. Receiving e-mail notifications about RSNA MOC Resources is an automatic feature of the MOC Registry. If you have completed a practice profile, but do not want to receive emails on related educational programming, click here.
Linking to the My CME Action Plan section allows you to print a template of a personal learning plan, based on your completed practice profile. You may also save this template to your hard drive as a word document. Each physician participating in the ABR MOC process is required to keep a personal education plan for continuing education.
Accessing the RSNA CME Credit Repository allows you to verify and print your RSNA-awarded AMA PRA category 1 CME creditsTM and to self-enter credits for self-directed learning.
Use the MOC File to upload and store pertinent MOC information such as your CME Action Plan. The MOC File can currently accept Microsoft Word documents, Word perfect Documents, Text files, and Excel spreadsheets.
