    • RSNA/ASNR Comparative Effectiveness Research Training (CERT) Program

      This hands-on training program in Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) will introduce participants to the methodology and tools for performing CER. Delivered in a combination of online modules, an in-person 1.5-day workshop and web-based sessions over the course of a year, the program will cover

      • Technology assessment
      • Risk benefit analysis
      • Cost-effectiveness evaluation
      • Decision analysis
      • Meta-analysis

      Upon completion of the program, participants will have developed a proposal for a grant application that could be submitted for the ASNR CER award, RSNA Scholar award, GERRAF program or other extramural funding as a Principal Investigator.

      Please note the following suggestions for successful applications:

      • Recommended for junior faculty and senior trainees in radiology, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine academic departments with a viable research idea known to match current CER priorities.
      • Mid-career faculty and research investigators with an MD or PhD degree, or equivalent, may also be considered.
      • Participants should have no prior funding as a principal investigator on an externally funded CER grant or contract.

      Accepted participants are responsible for all travel expenses and on-site hotel accommodations. There is no separate fee for this course.

    • The next CERT Course will begin in July 2017.

      The 1.5-day in-person workshop will be held September 28 - 29, 2017, at RSNA headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois.
